Pressure, Despression symptoms Attached to Faster Aging

Shortened telomere duration, which is known to be associated with getting older, is also associated with depression and hypocortisolism, new studies have shown. These conclusions validate previously analysis displaying smaller telomere duration in frustrated people in evaluation with nondepressed individuals from the common inhabitants, according to lead writer Mikael Wikgren, PhD, from Umeå School in Sweden. Dr. Mikael Wikgren "It also goes on to recommend that this change is relevant to a dysregulated stress reaction, which is a stress reaction design which has been linked to serious stress," he informed Medscape Medical Information. "This, in turn, underlines the part stress control performs in depressive sickness, and, in view of telomere duration being regarded a marking of natural getting older, indicates that stress increases getting older." The research is released in the Feb 15 issue of Scientific Psychiatry
